Fludes appoints new managing director

Fludes Carpets has announced the appointment of Andy Laird as managing director. Richard Flude, who has fulfilled the role for 21 years comments: “Having worked closely with Andy for the last six years, I have every confidence in him to drive the business forward, and work alongside Robert Flude, to maintain the values, profitability and integrity of the company.

Richard said “Having served the company for the last 23 years, I have thoroughly enjoyed both the challenges and successes, and now feel that it is time for me to make changes in my life.

“Robert and Andy, will be supported by Denise Wilson and Peter Hebditch to form the new management to ensure continuity and the smooth running of the business. I will be available to Robert and Andy to assist with the transition period.”

Fludes Carpets celebrate an 80th year magic carpet ride by winning top Interiors Award.

Fludes Carpets celebrate their 80th year of trading and winning Interiors Monthly Award 2009.

The Company has been managed by three generations of the Fludes family and is currently managed by Richard and Robert Flude (grandsons of Leslie Flude, who started the business in 1929); with Robert’s son James recently joining the business.
