Fludes Carpets celebrate an 80th year magic carpet ride by winning top Interiors Award.

Fludes Carpets celebrate their 80th year of trading and winning Interiors Monthly Award 2009.

Fludes Carpets, www.fludes-carpets.co.uk; flooring solution specialists in carpets, natural wood, vinyl, laminates and rugs are celebrating 80yrs of trading success and winning the 2009 award for Best Flooring Retailer from Interiors Monthly magazine. The family run, independent carpet retailer covers both East and West Sussex, with six stores across the region and one in Bournemouth.

The Company has been managed by three generations of the Fludes family and is currently managed by Richard and Robert Flude (grandsons of Leslie Flude, who started the business in 1929); with Robert’s son James recently joining the business.

 The 80 year presence in the flooring industry, is due to Fludes Carpets solid reputation; built on customer service, value for money and reliability. The family-values ethos appeals to consumers, many of whom prefer to purchase from a local, family owned and run business; a preference matched by Fludes Carpets objectives of being the best, not the biggest. Fludes Carpets are at the heart of the Sussex business community and continue to thrive throughout the current and past economic hardships facing the retail market. 

This year, Fludes Carpets are thrilled to win the UK’s leading industry Interiors Magazine’s 2009 Award for Best Flooring Retailer. The Trade Magazine is targeted at manufacturers and suppliers within the flooring industry, whom voted for Fludes Carpets.
